I had an iRobot 400 series, and my mom had a 500 series. The 500 is for sure much nicer than the 400, and I am sure the 800 is great. The biggest thing is maintenance. Make sure you run them on a scheduler daily and the charge base is a must. they work better when just tidying up verses trying to clean a weeks worth of dust on 1 charge. Dump the traps every day so they don't build up. Also, pull the brushes every few weeks especially if anyone has long hair in the home. You will probably have to change the battery after a couple years. It is all worth the effort to have a robot sweep your floors everyday while you are at work.

We have an iRobot and love it. It does a great job and is easy to use.

In other words you do more to keep the irobot running than it takes to just vacuum yourself. haha.

Not at all, It takes less than 2 minutes. People forget about doing it because all the work is done while you are away, then wonder why their $500 investment sucks (pun intended) and they just go back to vacuuming the old fashioned way.

It always takes me a while to do Roomba maintenance because of all of the hair. It's a major ordeal.

Robo cleaners don't do a great job compared to a real vacuum but for a studio? Yeah probably fine.

                    Check out this dude

The nice thing about robots is that they do things like run more often, do it while you are away, get far back under things that you would normally miss yourself...
