What Are You Doing Right Now

Our town main power distribution center went haywire last night. It was offline for a while and the UPSs in three of our networking closets failed... so lots of running around like a chicken with its head cut off this morning.
Well that will explain a few things... Do they have a cause as to why it happened?
As for the UPSs failing,.. is it a failed UPS or a expired battery? Did you know that a SLA or AGM battery, while sealed does emit some gasses when charging.. if you remove the battery and it sounds like loose rice in it, the gel has been cooked and the battery is dead.

There is a strange, bright ball of fire in the sky for a second day in a row now... I feel like I should do something to appease it, or at least try my best not to anger it....
(it has been raining for 3 months straight here, f*cking el nino...)

Nope, if it's about 65, I generally aren't thrilled. I'll tolerate up to about 75 before I start to get cranky. Only exception is SoCal. I fell in love when I was there last month, despite it's the epitome of everything I generally hate!

I haven't heard one way or the other. It sounds like something went very wrong at the substation as they had to get parts to fix it from another company in either Utica or Syracuse (second hand info sorry).
I'm not sure yet. Probably an expired battery we have them switched to battery bypass now and they seem to be working... our Network admin has some stuff on order.

And there is 2.2m views on this thread. Woot.
-
@coliver at least you weren't having to run around to get parts.

Just got at home and time to tinker my brain.
Edit : feeding my brain some knowledge
Learning the python course on https://www.codecademy.com as suggested of ML people. -
Banana, peanut butter and chocolate smoothies here.

Just got back from my breakfast with http://www.factioninc.com/. Not sure what I think right now. Might be interested in checking them out as we can rebrand their services. Need to figure out what makes them different from AWS and various others.

Layer 2 networking, apparently. It's patented.
