Scotch tastes like burnt mud... there, I said it. I'll take the rotting corn, sour-mashiness of bourbon over burnt mud. That being said, I do have a bottle of Bulleit Rye at home rt now...

Which Canadian whiskey tastes like coconut??? And @MattSpeller do they still make Breton's Hand and Seal whiskey? That's the finest Canadian booze I ever tasted.

I suppose that leaves more for me! I enjoy Bullet when looking for a cheaper alternative to scotch for mixing.

The worst offender by far is Crown Royal (and it's many copies).

I've enjoyed Collingwood but they want a premium for it that IMHO it does not deserve.

I'll have to look for it! Never heard of such a beast.

@MattSpeller Scotch is where it is at. I love the floral highland scotch's!

@brianlittlejohn Aye, the highlands make some fine ones but I'll take a right proper filthy smokey peaty Islay any day.

@brianlittlejohn I think the highland ones just lack the proper quantity of suffering that the ones on the islands experienced in spades.

Lagavulin makes some fine ones as well, but quarter cask is far superior.

@MattSpeller I'm seeing it online between $45 - $55 USD... i don't know what the actual liquor store will have priced at.

Got google authentication working for SSH/SFTP, successfully created a mount bind, and I was able to piece together a stack of .crt files from the old webserver's cpanel backup into a valid .pem cert chain. Good times!

I will share my full notes in a new topic once I have time to edit them into a more readable format 🙂
