BTW what software does this board run? It seems like a forum for the 21st century HTML5 world. It's nice.
NodeBB. We were early adopters on it (it's still in beta, two years into this forum!) and we are by far the most active forum built on the platform. We have the longest threads, most threads, most views of nearly any forum plus the highest hour by hour traffic both in posting and in views, and 100% organic. There has never been any advertising, no people ported from an old system.
The developers of NodeBB are all active here too since this is a place where they can see their code being used at scale, every day.

According to @scottalanmiller , This board hosts one of (if not the) largest threads in the NodeBB communite (the "What are you doing" thread. 8-)
Plenty to keep us busy!

NodeBB runs on, surprise, surprise, NodeJS. We run it pretty vanilla for support reasons. We run on Ubuntu 15.04 on Rackspace and use the heavier MongoDB backend to handle the high traffic instead of Redis.

It's the second biggest thread ever, and the largest ever to originate on a NodeBB forum. There is one other site that is older AND ported a huge audience and content base from another forum so had inorganic views and established SEO before their NodeBB platform was built and we are nipping at their heels for number of total views on our biggest thread while having the physically longest thread.
I'll not link theirs here as their longest thread is popular because it is an inappropriate topic

@scottalanmiller Thank you for the welcome. I made a mistake in my username, any chance I can change it or should I delete and create a new one?
I'm the sole IT person for a small software development company in St. Louis. I feel weird talking about myself, call it insecurity I suppose. Anyway, I'm in the process of putting together some questions I have about virtualization and storage to post. From what I've browsed through thus far, there are some great folks on here.
Thanks again,
John -

Hey @anthonyh welcome to the community!

Thanks @scottalanmiller and @mlnews !
I'm the sys/network admin for a U.S. trial court on the west coast. We have 12 XenServer hosts (8 in a pool) and growing, and a smidge over 100 VMs in our environment. Many of our services are Linux based, which I'm fairly proud of. Virtualization, networking, storage administration, AD, email, MySQL/MSSQL, you name it I am in charge of it. Fortunately we have a great group of guys who manage our workstations and do end-user support, so I can focus on back end infrastructure stuffs.
I'm a geek at heart, but my 2 year old b/g twins limit what I can tinker with at home (in a good way).

Hit me up if you need local help. Otherwise, welcome to ML. Looks like you been getting an overload of advice in your Virtualization thread.
