One of the many advantages to me buying my games long after they have already been out and patched.
True - you should join this subreddit: reddit.com/r/patientgamers

Ha ha, that's hilarious.
-
I'm trying to catch up with you but you keep buying so many. I'm up to around 450 games now.
-
I've slowed down a lot, mostly because I already own everything I'd want to play
-
Way more than everything that you want to play, I am guessing!
-
I still have nearly 60 items on my wish lists.

I spent a lot of this last weekend playing Civilization: Beyond Earth with the new Rising Tide expansion.
Just like the expansions for Civ 4 and Civ 5, they added a ton of new content that really changes how the game is played. I've been enjoying the revamped diplomacy system and the new artifact system they put in - it's feeling a lot more like a modern update to Alpha Centauri now, versus the reskinned Civ 5 it felt like when I first played it.
-
I bought Dying Light last weekend and it has been a TON of fun playing. I typically suck at 1st person games but this one has been easy to adapt to. Plus, slashing zombies with a machete is awesome! I have a few other games I bounce between too. Cities: Skyline, Atlantica Online, Diablo3, and Minecraft.

Anyone looking to play on a modded MC server that I run?
I've seen a few people mention is, besides me.

I won Dyling Light w the "play as a zombie" add on from SW... one day, I might get around to playing anything (damn home ownership).

@RojoLoco Definitely worth trying out if you have the hardware to support it. I found out that it makes my GPU overheat. I had to take the cover off the side of my case this weekend because I was seeing the temps creep up near 85c. After the cover off it stayed below 82c. I think I need to take a look at my case fan placement...

I won one of the Alienware Alpha consoles (cheap one, i3 and 5400 rpm spinner). Next paycheck will probably get an SSD and more RAM, I hope it will rock out after the upgrade.

@RojoLoco Sad thing is, that will probably not run much for games......Many of the newer generation games require at least an i5/AMD FX-8000 line processor and a big beefy gpu to go with it.
**Still an awesome thing to win!

Good thing they sell it as a gaming console, then... it's utterly useless in its factory config. I almost smashed it w a hammer first day, then I remembered it has a shit drive in it.
-
Well you also have to consider that some people define "gaming" as farmville, bejewled and candy crush....
-
I love the idea of someone buying an Alienware to play Candy Crush... and hate that it has probably actually happened before.

I might, if I ever have time...

I generally play on my own server running one of the adventure maps. I like having a goal when I play. Currently running through the Regrowth adventure map.
-
My goals in MC are much larger in scale generally IE building massive turbines, or rather extensive technological items such as the ender rail cart system, or massive nuclear reactors to power my infrastructure.
Exploring the map is a rather moot item as generally I just mine a 64x64x64 chunks at a time with my EnderMine replacing it with dirt.
Obviously I need somewhere to store everything I mine, so I have to build a mainframe with petabytes of storage.
(all of the above is coming in the future, as it's just me playing on my rebuilt server at the moment) If you want to join me, PM me and I can give you the server details.
It's a ton of fun to build these huge project items.

The wife and I played Blue Toad Murder Files last night and completed Chapter 1.
