GroupWise is still around but now free, I believe. Novell also makes Filr, iPrint, ZENworks, Vibe, Service Desk and OES still exists. It was OES that directly replaced Netware.

@Hubtech Why no POE? I think that's probably so if you buy a switch it's easier to sell you APs and Phones latter. I love POE but if you aren't using it the switch will be slightly less power efficient. Probably not to much though since there is no actual load using the power rails for it.

I wish that they were not PoE too. Makes them unnecessarily expensive and draw too much power.

@Carnival-Boy a little secret...iOS beta will be announced for October.
@JaredBusch Your explanation is perfect. Pricing is fine for small business today and your customers aren't using the apps so you don't want to pay for them. That's exactly what we're doing. Increasing pricing for businesses that consume apps.

When we launched the original pricing we were solving entirely different challenges than we are today. Anything "more advanced" required some creative minds (like SAM with the original AD integration). Now we're providing those for businesses that need them.

Hope that helps and looking forward to seeing you guys next week!

The App Store is actually great. It is the poor alternative on windows and android that I found to be the turnoff.

I'm surprised iOS doesn't have this built in yet. As Macbooks already do this under the Battery Menu. However on mobile OS people that run those Battery Doctor (and the more popular Advanced Task Killer) type apps end up getting less life out of the battery. Many apps take so little battery running in a suspended state in the background that fully closing them multiple times means the processing to get it going multiple times a day again would use more power..

Oh, so maybe I can connect a PBX to my google voice soon? How do we connect in now? Hoping to make a PBX out of my raspberyPi somehow.

If it is Asterisk based, you have been able to connect to Google Voice via some 3rd party scripts for years.

Google is NOT adding SIP to anyone's knowledge.

Sweet. I'm going to load up this latter today http://www.raspberry-asterisk.org/downloads/

Yes, nearly all piloting is computer driven today. And the stability of these hover devices is constantly increasing and already super impressive.

Eh? Commercial piloting I assume you are referring to? Personal aircraft are still mostly pilot controlled.

To continue my thought from earlier though, when I say computer driven, I mean, you get in, type an address, sit back and relax until you arrive. Allowing people to willy nilly drive/fly these things all over town, I just can't see that working for the masses.

Think of something like 5th Element - flying car lanes, yet somehow you're able to leave the lane and simply fly/drive anywhere you want - udder chaos.

Have you tried GhostBSD? How does it compare to PC-BSD which seems to be much more popular.
